Grand Valley State University is committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for all students. A variety of methods are available for community members wishing to share a concern or submit a report. These include, but are not limited to, the reporting options below:

Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution:

Campus Climate Concern:

Any instance where someone felt belittled, disrespected, or isolated based on their identity.

Office of Civil Rights and Title IX:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Dating/Domestic Violence (Intimate Partner Violence)
  • Stalking
  • Sexual Exploitation
  • Retaliation
  • Discrimination/Harassment

Campus Security Authority:

  • Murder/non-negligent manslaughter
  • Manslaughter by negligence

PUBLIC SAFETY

The Grand Valley Police Department website includes telephone numbers for emergency and non-emergency reporting.

ANONYMOUS REPORTING

GVSU Anonymous Reporting is available for individuals who prefer to report concerns to the University anonymously through a system hosted by a third-party provider.

INFORMAL SUPPORT

Grand Valley provides support from both a Student Ombuds and Employee Ombuds Officer. These offices offer confidential services to create and maintain a positive working, living and learning environment, including exploring options, communication and conflict coaching, group facilitation and feedback to campus leaders regarding systemic issues.
